Natural Pleasure

I’d heard of this Black-owned cigar line for months; and seen some of my Frat brothers smoking this brand. At a Brotherhood smoke at my Fraternity Convention, while bonding and sharing in camaraderie, I was gifted an EC Natural Pleasure Robusto, in exchange for a stick of my own.
As I opened the cellophane, I admired the careful construction of the brown aged delight. The Black and Gold label adorned the stick, placed with precision, and I knew that much care and pride was given to present this fine piece. I toasted the foot in anticipation, then punched the top before finally lighting up, and watched the mystical smoke dance in the sky while I sat back to puff.

I saluted my Frat brother, and drifted away, consumed by the ambiance, the music, and hundreds of my Frat brothers all enjoying various cigars. I immediately remarked about the smooth taste that complimented my beverage, to which my Frat brother indicated that this brand was also owned by a Brother in the Fraternity.

A few months later, I purchased a sampler set from the company website, but due to a technical glitch, the order wasn’t transmitted properly. I left a message on their page, and within an hour, a Partner, Mr. Greg Willis, called me to follow up. He said he’d rectify it. Before the end of the business day, I received a postage tracking number via email. A few days later, my package arrived, along with a handwritten note, apologizing for the delay. Mr. Willis was also gracious enough to spend a few minutes talking to me about his brand. Not surprising to me, he expressed how fantastic customer service is paramount in Emperor’s Cut. Along with Darnell Street, Temi Bush, Robert Howard, Maurice Holland, Greg Hurt, and Darry Redmon, Greg Willis built a company deeply committed to enhancing the cigar experience consistently for every patron.
